Your coding agent is already powerful.

Reach it from Telegram. Let it remember you. Search every past conversation. Give it work for later.

Claude Code is the only supported runtime today.

What changes once it is installed.

  1. Reach it from your phone

Close the laptop and the agent is gone.

Text it from the train. One persistent session per chat; only paired chats get a reply.

  2. It remembers you

    Every session starts from zero.

Facts persist across sessions and channels. A correction supersedes the old fact; history is kept.

  3. Every conversation, searchable

“What did we decide on Tuesday?”

transcript_search finds it, by keyword or meaning, from any session.

  4. Work while you are away

    Nothing happens until you ask.

Scheduled jobs push results to Telegram. A cheap check runs first: no work, no model call.

  5. One command, your machine

State lives in a SQLite file in your project. update and rollback keep it current.

Claude Code still does the work. fortytwo adds what a session forgets.

A day with it.

  1. 08:32

You message the assistant from Telegram.

The chat’s session resumes, and the agent can recall what you told it from memory.

  2. 11:00

    A scheduled job becomes due.

The scheduler claims it, checks that there is work, and wakes the agent through the runner. The result can be pushed to you.

  3. 14:20

You open Claude Code in the same project over SSH.

Same persona files and the same durable memory. It is a different session from your Telegram chat, but it can search that conversation in the transcript.

An illustrative day. The times are examples.

Working, and where it stops.

  • WORKS TODAY

    Telegram channel

One live session per paired chat, picked back up after a restart. The only channel adapter that ships today.

  • WORKS TODAY

    Durable memory

Facts recalled by meaning or keyword. Corrections supersede the old fact; history is kept.

  • WORKS TODAY

    Searchable transcript

Every conversation kept and searchable, from any session.

  • WORKS TODAY

    Scheduling

Jobs that become due later. The model runs only when there is work.

  • WORKS TODAY

    Identity and lifecycle

Persona in plain files, and a CLI to set up, run, update and roll back.

  • OPTIONAL

    Gate

An optional policy hook for tool execution. Runtime permissions apply either way.

  • KNOWN EDGE

    Known limits

Session recovery is best effort; fortytwo is not a durable message queue. The transcript keeps everything, with no function to delete a message.

How trust works →

three commands
# in a new, empty directory
$ npx @justfortytwo/installer init
$ fortytwo start # foreground · Ctrl+C stops it
$ fortytwo pair # second terminal · prints a one-time code

Open Telegram. Say hello.

Send the one-time code to your bot and you are talking to the assistant. Until a chat is paired, the bot ignores everyone.

Needs Claude Code, Node ≥ 20, an Ollama endpoint for embeddings and a Telegram bot token. Details are in the docs.
